What makes an AI quiz different
A scored quiz adds up points and an outcome quiz picks the most-voted type. Both work well, but every respondent with the same score or type reads the same result text. An AI quiz has no scoring at all: the report is written for one person, about what they actually said — their goals, their numbers, the deck or screenshot they uploaded.
That makes it a stronger lead magnet in places where a generic result would feel thin: a consultant reviewing a pitch deck, a coach giving feedback on a CV, a trainer commenting on a form video, an agency auditing a landing page.
When to use an AI quiz — and when not to
| Use an AI quiz when… | Use a scored or outcome quiz when… |
|---|---|
| The value is in feedback on their specific situation | The value is in a clear score or a shareable type |
| People can show their work (files, free-text answers) | All answers are multiple choice |
| A one-off personal review is worth an email address | You want a fun result people post and compare |
| You will follow up one-to-one | You need the same scoring rules for everyone |
Not sure? The trade-offs between all four formats are laid out in which quiz format should you use.
How to build an AI quiz, step by step
Start from an AI template or a blank AI quiz
Create a new quiz and choose the AI quiz format, or start from a ready-made AI template, which comes with questions, report instructions and a real sample report you can adapt.
Ask for the context the report needs
Mix choice questions (for things you want to filter on later, like budget or stage) with free-text questions (for the detail that makes a report personal). An AI quiz can have up to 20 questions. Keep it short: every question should feed something the report will use.
Add an upload question if their work matters
Upload questions let respondents attach images, audio, short videos or documents, up to 2 per quiz. Audio and video are transcribed, documents are read and images are looked at, so the report can comment on the work itself instead of on a description of it.
Write the report instructions
Describe the report in plain language: who it is for, which sections it should have, which answers each section should draw on, and what it must never do (for example, promise results). Add a style guide if you want a specific tone. The report is written in the language the respondent took the quiz in.
Define result tags for your pipeline
Optionally define up to 10 internal tags, such as “ready to buy”, “needs nurturing” or “not a fit”, each with a short rule. AI picks one per respondent; you filter and route leads by it, and each tag can show its own call to action. Respondents never see the tag.
Close with a next step
Add a call-to-action button, a booking block or a one-question feedback block under the report. The respondent has just read something written for them, which is the best moment to offer a call about it.
Test it with real answers, then publish
Take the quiz yourself with two or three very different sets of answers and read the reports side by side. If they sound alike, tighten the instructions so each section is tied to specific answers. Then share the link or embed the quiz on your site.
How to write report instructions that don’t sound generic
- Name the reader: “a solo coach with fewer than 10 clients” produces a sharper report than “the user”.
- Give the report a fixed structure (for example: summary, three strengths, three gaps, one next step) so every report is easy to scan and easy to compare.
- Tie each section to answers: “base the gaps on their answers about pricing and lead sources” stops the AI from filling space with general advice.
- Say what to avoid: no guarantees, no medical or legal advice, no invented numbers.
- End with your offer: tell the AI to finish with one concrete next step that leads naturally to your call to action.
What it costs to run
One AI report uses one credit. Every plan includes monthly credits — 5 on Free and 100 on Pro. If credits run out, responses are still collected and their reports can be generated later, so no lead is lost. Current numbers are on the pricing page.
