Outcome quiz

Last updated Oct 16, 2026

Quick answer

An outcome quiz is a quiz with no right or wrong answers: each answer option votes for one or more result types, and the respondent is shown the type that collected the most votes. “Which X are you?” personality quizzes are the most common kind.

How outcome scoring works

You define the possible outcomes first — for example four coaching styles or three product fits — and then map every answer option to the outcomes it points toward. An odd number of questions per trait, or a deliberate weighting, avoids ties. The full method is in how to score a personality quiz.
